Cow-Op

At Zero Waste Emporium, we value community and sustainability, which is why we’re proud of our partnership with Cow-op—an initiative dedicated to local agriculture and environmental stewardship.

Since 2018, Cow-Op has been bringing fresh, locally sourced products to Zero Waste Emporium as a downtown pickup hub each week. This partnership unites us in fostering connections between farmers, producers, and consumers, supporting our local economy while honouring the earth.

Who is Cow-Op?

Cow-Op is a non-profit co-operative for farmers and food processors, featuring an online marketplace that showcases a wide variety of locally grown and harvested food from the Cowichan Region. The marketplace includes produce, meats, eggs, fruits, baked goods, and more, all sourced from local farms. This convenient system benefits both food producers and consumers; farmers save time, while buyers can easily shop from their computers year-round, directly supporting local family farms and businesses.
