Climate Wave Coffee Research Institute & Academy is the premier coffee institute and academy on Vancouver Island, focusing on sustainability and climate action while improving coffee quality and café culture. They serve as Zero Waste Emporium’s coffee consultant, helping us further reduce our environmental footprint.

We proudly carry artisanal coffee beans certified as Climate-Positive by Climate Wave Coffee Research Institute & Academy and roasted locally by a coffee artist at That Sustainable Collective. Each jar of this coffee helps coffee forests capture 5 kilograms of global greenhouse gas emissions. At our shop, we track this emissions capture and provide monthly updates. We also participate in their Sustainable Coffee Passport program, offering greenwashing-free, transparent coffee labels to our customers. Each jar includes a reusable coffee label, printed locally in Victoria on 100% recycled paper. The label features a QR code, granting access to the Sustainable Coffee Passport for that particular coffee. We are proud to fight greenwashing through transparency and inclusivity.
